I reside in North Vancouver, BC, Canada.  Born in France, I have ridden and lived in British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest for the last eight years.

WHAT'S YOUR DAY JOB?

I have been involved in cycling as a practitioner for 14 years, in the bicycle industry as an employee for over six years and am now a small-business owner since Fall 2011.  I have started Suspension Therapy, specializing in mountain bike suspension set-up, to help others make the most out of their bikes, improve their riding and gain a further understanding of their bicycle’s suspension dynamics.  http://www.suspension-therapy.com

2011 RESULTS?

Highlights are:  North Shore Bike Fest, Enduro Super D - 1st place, FVMBA race series - 1st place, Wade's Excellent Adventure - 1st place, Dirty Duo XC - 1st place, West Coast Super D - 2nd place, Ashland Chainless DH - 4th place.

WHAT ARE YOUR GOAL EVENTS FOR 2012?

I strive to maintain and build a high level of fitness and skill in my riding. Over the years I have raced Elite downhill, Elite cross-country, and currently focus my training and riding on the growing segment of Enduro and Super-D racing.  This type of racing demands loads of skill, stamina, power, and the necessary endurance to ride demanding terrain with your heart bulging through your tonsils.  Enduros are won pedaling hard, hitting corners fast and carrying speed through the chunk.  No room for gaps in your bag of tricks:  the winner has to have it all. Thank you to Wilde Picture Service, Sterling Lorence Photography, Willows Photography for letting me use their work.

WHY ARE YOU TRAINING WITH MARX CONDITIONING?

I train with Marx Conditioning to rectify the imbalances I have in muscle development from years of cycling, non-existent recovery, and generally the inability to say “no” to more exercise.  Over the past year, following the training plan designed by Marx Conditioning (riding and training smart both indoors and outdoors) I have noticed the biggest improvements in power, endurance, and race results of my cycling years.  Knee pain, clicking hips, tight lower back, tight upper traps, and multiple small quirks that I always attributed to years on the bike, are gone.  Building strength (not with the crutch of a bike!) has exponentially improved the power and quality of my pedal stroke.  Not to mention the mental advantage of knowing that you are building a well nourished, well rounded, strong and well recovered body.
